As global efforts increase to find ways that mankind can develop sustainably, there has been growing appreciation of the stunning diversity of the ecosystem services provided by forests and of their crucial contribution to building circular economies.
This talk will headline the benefits we get from forests and will examine why wood is the material of the future. The talk will look at the amazing versatility of wood and wood fibre and new applications.
The speaker, Tapani Pahkasalo, is a partner in Dasos Capital. Based in Helsinki, Dasos is an advisor to and manager of funds invested in sustainable forests and other natural capital, mostly situated in Europe. Assets under management total over EUR 1.3 billion, making Dasos the largest manager of private equity investments in forests in Europe.
