FBCC is organising an event on investing and fintech in cooperation with Danske Bank International and Womble Bond Dickinson. A panel of experts, including investors and fintech entrepreneurs, discuss different elements of investing from raising capital to investor expectations and networking opportunities – and much more. Whether you are an entrepreneur or an investor looking for insights or advice this event is a must.

Aapo Bovellan
Founding Partner Proxy VC

Aapo is the founding partner of Proxy, the world’s first Venture Capital company with its own brand studio designing brands for all of its portfolio companies. He has experience as an early shareholder in 24 companies, including one decacorn, and has invested alongside Index Ventures, Creandum, DN Capital, Lifeline Ventures and Sunstone Capital. He works on brand strategy and post-investment activity at Proxy, and is on the board of multiple companies where he offers scale-up advice. Prior to Proxy, Aapo was a Senior Marketing Director at Nokia and then Microsoft.

 

 

 

 

 

Florin Grosu
Co-Founder of Traderion, President of the Young Leaders Club

Florin Grosu is the co-founder and COO of Traderion, a talent management platform for the financial industry. His responsibilities in Traderion include business development and investor relations. Mr Grosu’s specialities include business strategy, business development, marketing strategy and education management. Florin Grosu has a MSc. in Financial Economics from the University of Gothenburg. He currently serves as the President of the Young Leaders Club, which is an organization in South East Europe developing MBA-structured business education programs dedicated to exceptional students and young professionals all over the world. 

 

 

 

 

 

Gareth Genner
Managing Director Identity and Financial Inclusion at Emergent Technology

In 2015, Gareth Genner co-founded Trust Stamp, his third cloud platform. Mr Genner’s focuses include both identity technology and the pursuit of global financial inclusion. Mr Genner studied at the University of Wales and the University of Law, London. He received a post-qualification Diploma in European Community Law & Administration and an LLM in International Taxation and Financial Services Regulation. Mr Genner’s diverse post-graduate studies have included business, finance, leading-edge technology, and blockchain as well as certification as a General Mediator. He has served on the editorial panel for publications that include money laundering, asset forfeiture, compliance and recovery, foreign tax and trade briefs and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act.

 

 

 

 

Theo O’Donnel
Head of UK & Ireland at Enfuce Financial Services

Theo began his career in finance in trading roles on the fixed income trading floor of Morgan Stanley. Over the course of a decade he built several businesses in Foreign Exchange and Emerging Markets. He has deep experience selling to client bases spanning the spectrum of institutional investors, from quantitative and macro hedge funds, to blue chip asset managers, as well as retail banks and fintechs. Theo left investment banking in 2016 to open a restaurant and cocktail bar business in Barcelona with his wife, which they sold to a hospitality venture company in 2018 before returning to London to start a family. He now runs the UK & Irish arm of Enfuce, a rapidly growing Finnish company at the forefront of innovation in the payments and Open Banking sectors.
