Embassy of Finland in London

The Embassy of Finland is organising an event for Finnish businesses in the UK on how they can prepare for the UK’s departure from the European Union. The event will take place on Wednesday 15 May from 10am to 11.30am at the Embassy of Finland in London (address: 38 Chesham Place, London SW1X 8HW), and is organised in co-operation with Business Finland and Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce.
This will be an opportunity to hear from our experts at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs how Finnish businesses should prepare for Brexit. You will also have an opportunity to raise questions or concerns.
Preparing for Brexit is a joint task that has to be performed by the authorities and also by the other stakeholders involved. It requires steps to be taken by EU institutions, national and regional authorities, businesses and citizens. More information about preparedness measures is available on the websites of the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office and the European Commission, for instance.
In Finland, each Ministry is responsible for the aspects of Brexit that affect its administrative branch. The administrative branch of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs includes trade policy, foreign and security policy and development policy, as well as matters concerning consular services. Please see the website of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs for more information: Brexit and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Please register your interest to attend the event by 12th May. Sign up here.
Please note that the seats are limited. If you have signed up and can no longer attend the event, please cancel your registration as soon as possible.
