The future in hospitality is not just creating an extraordinary dining experience or the culinary feats of the kitchen, but the mission and storytelling that guests and employees can identify with, and want to take part in and support.

But how can restaurants, hotels and other companies adapt to fit this paradigm shift in customer and employee expectations? All while continuing the digitalisation that the current pandemic has escalated the need of. The Danish Company, A Close Shave, is showcasing their tool for digitalising knowledge sharing and company culture, while Michael Tingsager will share insights into the current climate in hospitality and why culture and storytelling will become your key competitive advance.

Mette Skovdal

Mette Skovdal is Director of A Close Shave UK, having relocated from Copenhagen to London in Spring of 2019. Mette has a Masters in Philosophy from Copenhagen University, and has worked for A Close Shave as a Project Manager for five years. Mette is the primary contact and content manager for a number of clients in Denmark and the UK, and has a focus on, and primary skills in, behavioural design, copy writing, employee engagement and campaign management.

 

 

Brian Fabricius

Brian Fabricius is Close Shave‘s Sales Director, based in Copenhagen, and the primary contact for all customers in relation to agreements, pricing and GDPR compliance. Brian has a BA in Business Administration and Law from Aarhus University, and has a strong focus on customers, company strategy and development. Brian has a background in retail from all over Europe, working with well-known brands like Sony, Sennheiser and Jabra.

 

Michael Tingsager

Michael the Managing Director of The Bear Kitchen has been living and breathing the hospitality industry from the day he was born and started working in his mum and dad’s small restaurant group in rural Denmark from an early age. He spent seven years building a 20+ unit cafe chain in Denmark; 11 years working in McDonald’s Denmark and the UK, and more than 8 years as a owner of consultancy business Hospitality Mavericks working with restaurant brands across Europe. Michael is also the CO-founder of The Bear Kitchen in London, which is a catering business delivering into offices across London.
