We’ve got something to tell you

Dear FBCC members, partners, friends, and extended network,

The FBCC will be closed for the month of July and we will be back in the office in August, but before we let you go for your summer holidays, we have one more announcement to make:

As most of you already know, our General Manager, Jade Juvonen, will be stepping down from her role at the end of this month. Her successor, Sara Lehtonen, will start in the beginning of August.

I, Jade, would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for the past four years. I took on the role of General Manager in the summer of 2020 when we all believed that the world had returned to normal. However, little did we know, almost everything I had learned about event organising had to be re-evaluated. Slowly but surely, we were able to resume organising in-person events, and what a journey it has been!

I am grateful to everyone I’ve had the privilege of working with. Thank you for your support and collaboration. Your dedication and passion have always been a tremendous source of inspiration. I would particularly like to extend my gratitude to Johanna, who has served as the Marketing and Events Coordinator for the past year. She has done an exceptional job, and I have no doubt that she will continue to excel in her career. I wish her all the best in her future endeavours. You can connect with Johanna on LinkedIn by clicking here.

I would also like to express my gratitude to our Board of Directors for giving me this opportunity, for believing in me, and for providing me with their unwavering support. Your guidance and commitment to excellence have shaped FBCC into the organisation it is today. I would also like to extend my thanks to everyone on Team Finland. It has been an honour to work with each and every one of you.

Last but certainly not least, I want to extend my gratitude to all FBCC members. It has been a privilege to connect with and learn from so many interesting and inspiring people from a wide range of industries and sectors. FBCC has truly become more than just a workplace for me; it has become a second home. Departing is never easy, especially when it means parting ways with such an exceptional group of people. However, I am excited about the new opportunities that await me.

My time at FBCC will always hold a special place in my heart. I am grateful for the experiences, the lessons learned, and the friendships that will last a lifetime. Let’s connect on LinkedIn and stay in touch!

I am pleased to inform you that I am leaving you in capable hands with my successor, Sara Lehtonen. She will assume the position in the beginning of August, and I have full confidence in her abilities. I am excited to witness the accomplishments of Sara and her team over the next few years and to attend the events they will organise.

Thank you once again for everything, I wish Sara and the whole team continued success and prosperity. This is not a goodbye; you’ll see me soon at the FBCC events!

As for me, Sara, I’m beyond excited to return to the FBCC and take the lead as the new General Manager.

First, I would like to thank the board of directors for their confidence in my ability to lead the Chamber. I also want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of Jade, who leaves behind big shoes for me to fill.

But alongside this, since this is not my first time working for FBCC, I would also like to say a warm thank you to each one of you, our members, partners, and everyone who’s part of this wonderful community. It was exactly a year ago when I left my position as a Marketing and Events Coordinator and said if there was an opportunity to come back, I wouldn’t hesitate. I’m very happy to return and contribute to the continuing success story of the Chamber.

I’m committed to maintaining and building FBCC as an empowering community, a responsive partner, and a host for timely and interesting events for our members. A lot is changing in the world around us, but I do believe that as in life, as in business, together we stand stronger.

Diversity and inclusion are the strengths of the community, and I will continue to strive for an inclusive environment where every member and business, regardless of size or background, can find a place and a voice within our Chamber.

I’m excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead. I look forward to working with every one of you, and I am confident that together, we will achieve great things.

Wishing you all a sun-filled and happy summer. See you in August!

Warmest regards,

Jade & Sara
