Dear Members and Friends of the FBCC,
After another busy and exciting year has just flown by, here we are again, counting down the final days until Christmas with anew decade just around the corner. I know you are all extremely busy finalising projects and getting everything ready for the holidays – or you’re already off spending time with friends and family – so I will keep my message to you short(ish).
Not to sound like a broken record when writing this, but 2019 has been another quite politically turbulent year here in the UK; Brexit has been delayed twice, we have had a new prime minister and a general election. There is still quite a lot of uncertainty around Brexit and what will happen but whatever your political affiliations may be, I am sure we are all hoping for 2020 to bring with it some clarity. But come what may, the one thing that is certain, is that Christmas bill be here this year again. I want to wish you all a very relaxing holiday period and I hope you will have some time off to spend with loved ones and getting some much-needed rest and relaxation to recharge your batteries for 2020.
This past year has been very busy at the FBCC and we have had even more events for you than before. It has been amazing seeing so many of you attending throughout the year. I truly hope that you have enjoyed the variety of events over the past year and we welcome any feedback you may have for us. We have more exciting, interesting and fun events planned for 2020 so keep your eyes peeled for updates in the new year. First up will be an Economic Update with Nordea on the 23rd of January, followed by the monthly Nordic Drinks on the 30th of January, so mark your calendars now. Many more will be announced next year.
Finally, I want to give my warmest thanks to our members for your support this year, to our event guests for attending, and all our friends for following our journey. In 2020 we want to be able to serve you even better and provide you with as much value as possible. The best part of my job is meeting you and hearing all your stories.
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the FBCC team!
Warmest regards,
Emma Jalonen
