We hosted the first AI event of the year on January 15th together with the Finnish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce. The webinar carried the title ‘From Supercycle to Sidewalk: How AI is Really Changing Business’ and brought together listeners across UK, Finland and Estonia.
Carlos Lopes from Proekspert discussed the innovation and everyday impact of AI with real-world examples. Lopes concluded that AI usage without a need stemming from business decisions will not lead to increased productivity, the key difference being usage versus implementation.
This was followed by Nokia’s presentation on the AI Supercycle and case studies by John Mariani and David Gong. We learned what is in the global ‘AI race’ for Europe and what European companies are doing in the current climate where European AI engines are far fewer compared to Chinese and US-made ones. Nokia and Nscale collaboration was presented as an example of scalable AI infrastructure in Europe. Nokia also highlighted how the AI neocloud is essential for data security, and increasing the data residency of a region is key in this process.
The Q&A raised several interesting questions, from the concerns on the rapidly increased usage of AI across industries to the current stage of the AI Supercycle and the next steps.
Thank you to everyone who participated and we hope to see you at our upcoming events!
Our next AI event ‘Female Leadership in the Age of Artificial Intelligence’ takes place on January 27th at UHY Hacker Young, and you can find tickets via this link.
