Sara Lehtonen has been leading FBCC operations since the autumn of 2024. Before her current role, she joined FBCC a year earlier as a marketing and events coordinator.
Born and raised in Southern Ostrobothnia, Sara first arrived in the UK in 2020. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development from the University of Birmingham and has gained experience working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, as well as in various corporate roles in both Finland and the UK.
Outside of work, she is a sports enthusiast, competing in American football at an international level. Sara has been part of the Finnish National Team since 2017, earning multiple medals for her country in both European and world championships.

With an international background, Sara has lived in multiple countries, most recently in South Africa. She has gained valuable experience working with Business Finland both in South Africa and Helsinki, deepening her expertise in trade and business development.
Sara is passionate about fostering international business connections and is eager to contribute her knowledge to the FBCC team. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, unwinding with Xbox, and great conversations with friends – especially over a good glass of wine.
