Incap’s factory in UK, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, provides full turn-key product supply including PCBAs, electro-mechanical assembly, cable and wire harness assembly alongside a dedicated standalone rapid prototyping facility (Fast Track) and maintain, repair and overhaul services (MRO).

Incap’s factory in the UK has experience in manufacturing since 1974. The factory has 4,400 square meters of total floor space. Its customers include global companies with operations in Europe, Asia and North America. The facility also has over 20 years of experience in the defence, security and aerospace markets.

FBCC is looking for a part-time Marketing and Events Coordinator

If you are looking for a chance to gain valuable experience working in a dynamic environment, you may be just the person we are looking for.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Delivery of all the Chamber’s marketing and communication activities
• Creating content for monthly newsletter and website
• Updating and maintaining Chamber’s website and social media pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram)
• Representing the Chamber at a variety of functions, including outside normal office hours.
• Taking part in event planning with the GM – from initial idea generation, venue sourcing, creation, and design of invitations and advertisements, to coordinating on and after the day.
• Other daily office management functions.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential, Finnish or any other language appreciated;
• Good written and oral communication skills;
• Good social media knowledge
• Previous marketing or content creation experience is an advantage;
• Previous sales experience is an advantage;
• Experience with various software desirable (Microsoft Office, Canva, InDesign)
• Interest in Finland and advancing business relations between the UK and the Nordics
• Independent, proactive and innovative approach to work, with the ability to take initiative
and come up with new ideas;
• Good time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritise incoming
workload;
• Outgoing personality with the ability to work with people across all levels.

This is a part-time role, 2-3 days per week lasting a minimum of 4-6 months, with flexible working arrangements. Compensation for the role will be £10 per hour + travel expenses to events/meetings. The ideal start date would be between August-September onwards. The position is open to people with a valid residence permit in the UK (e.g. settled or pre-settled status).

Chairman Juha-Matti Lampola receives Knights First Class of the Order of the Lion of Finland decoration

Juha-Matti Lampola is the Chairman of the Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce. Ambassador Jukka Siukosaari presented the decoration in a ceremony at the Ambassador’s residence on June 7th, 2022. Over the course of his decades-long international career in banking, Juha-Matti has made significant contributions to the development of Finnish businesses. Juha-Matti founded J-M Capital Ltd. in 2000, through which he has given advice to numerous Finnish businesses on internationalisation as well as facilitated the interests of foreign companies in Finland. At the FBCC, Juha-Matti has been a driving force for nearly a decade and significantly contributed to the Chamber’s growth.

The decorations of the Order of the Lion of Finland are conferred upon citizens and foreign nationals who have distinguished themselves in the service of Finland.
